2004: Polish Pickle Soup (Lois Christensen's Family Cookbook)

No one got it and no one could believe it.

3-4 quarts chicken or turkey broth
2 tsp. dill weed
2 stalks celery, diced
1 onion, diced
5 large potatoes, diced
3 parsnips, diced
2-3 dill pickles, cut into chunks (to be added later)

Put all ingredients in a large pot (except pickles) and cook until tender. Add pickles and simmer 1/2 hour more. Puree in blender or processor. Serves 10-12
